The Town of Lawrence Department of Public Works is responsible for operating and maintaining the Town's roads and streets. Our staff works hard to repair potholes, maintain street signs, snow removal and ice control, water and sewer replacement, and storm water management. The Public Works staff also maintains a fleet of vehicles and equipment that is used in their day-to-day operations.
There are many roads in the Town that are not maintained by the Town. Any county trunk highway in the Town are maintained by the Brown County Highway Department.
Throughout the year, road projects will be available here.
Please note, some road projects might require road closures. Barricades and signs will be posted if a road closure is necessary. Please do not under any circumstances move the signage or barricades to the side of the road. Tampering with and/or moving road closure barricades may result in a citation up to $300 per Wisconsin State Statute 346.42.
