Zoning Board of Appeals

Zoning Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial body that reviews and decides cases where there is an alleged error in a zoning decision or where there’s a request for a variance from the ordinance on a parcel per Town Ordinance 300-198. This includes:

  • Hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirements, decision or determination made by the Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator.
  • Hear and pass upon the application for variance from the terms provided in this chapter in the manner prescribed by and subject to the standards established herein.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets only when needed.  Zoning Board of Appeals consists of five members and two alternate members appointed by the Town Board serving a three-year term.
